FLINT, MI — Two new federal grants will help fund Head Begin education and learning packages in Genesee County through a merged $23,808,091.

U.S. Rep. Dan Kildee (D-Flint Twp.) declared the two federal grands that were awarded through the U.S. Division of Health and Human Solutions on Tuesday, July 5.

The grants will aid high-good quality early childhood education and learning for small children in Genesee County, including meals, health and fitness screenings, psychological well being assistance and unique requires providers, according to a information release from Kildee’s business.

Genesee County will get $10,421,276 and the Genesee Intermediate University District will acquire $13,386,815, in accordance to the release.
